My final thoughts on the class... Uh, I personally didn't really like how art and english were combined. Our art projects rarely correlated with the english. What's with the blogging? What does this have to do with anything...? I'm probably missing all your points about how it's preparing us for college and whatever and this and that and blahbityblah, but if I can't plainly see the point in blogging, then there might as well not be one. Downloaded a bunch of music illegally, hooray. I guess technically it's not illegal since no one owns what I listen to. Ummm... Ugh... Herpderp. Yeah, well... I think you should do something completely different with this class next year. Beck does not approve. I WANNA GO HOME!!! =_= What else is there to say?! High School has ended but I feel that my life is really just beginning. College is next and it is supposed to be more fun than high school. But then again,I was told that high school would be more fun than middle school. I really enjoyed middle school more than high school. I will be optimistic that I will like college and will find my career calling while I am there.

All of us need to think about our future, not just day to day activities because those will happen no matter what. We need to think about how we can get involved in making our society what it was when my great grandparents came of this country. We all need to have initiative to become the best we can become and not rely on anyone or any government to do that for us.

BLOGGING CHALLENGE #9

I think that technology and gadgets are taking over the world. I myself, am a casual texter and computerer. I might turn on my computer maybe once a week to check my YouTube account and watch my subscriptions and download music. I send an average of probably ten text messages per day. I have a MySpace that I check maybe once a month. I used to instant message a lot, but I dropped that, and I haven't been online in months. I can honestly say, though, that I've met some great people in my online days. I'm mostly using my PS3, which is connected to the internet. I play games online with people and have myself a good ol' time. As for other people, though, I think technology is consuming them. According to those graphs and polls, some people my age send more than 200 text messages a day. Are you serious?! That's ridiculous... According to another poll, some people will even stop in the middle of sex to reply a text message. That's just sick, rude... Ugh, just ugh. I think that sending a silly text message shouldn't be our priority in life. I know people who will just stop in the middle of anything (driving, using the bathroom) to send a text. I also know people who spend every waking moment on their computers. Come on, people... Get a PS3, they're much more fun. ;)

Well, I myself have gotten one comment from another teacher in the blogging challenge. In my opinion, the best way to get noticed is to do something outrageous. The problem is... How do we do something outrageous on a blog site? You can't. Unless we start titling our blogs with dirty names, and maybe post shocking and grotesque images, which isn't going to happen. So there, we're not going to get any comments any time soon. However, I myself.. I happen to have the "intrigue charm". I like to write about different things, so people may enjoy my blogs more. When I have to leave comments on other blogs, I am sure to write something that makes me stand out. Maybe something funny or sarcastic or... totally out there. Something... ENOUGH! This brings me one step closer to being sick. My eyelids are heavy, my throat is raw, my nose is starting to drip, I'm tired... I just hope it's not allergies or something. That movie was really boring. The music made me want to nap, and the narrator sounded dreadfully sleepy. I don't really care about images on the internet. If you didn't want someone using your picture, you should've put a big obnoxious watermark on it. And also your signature, so anyone who posts it is automatically crediting you. I hate my next class, I hope we're watching a movie or something. Oh yeah, and I don't wanna do a dream board. I just want to go home and finish God of War III, which is awesome by the way. I hate Bright House commercials. Why is everything made with fake chemical sugar these days? Ew.

SPRING BREAK

During the beginning of spring break, I went and visited Tampa with my parents and my friend Ben. We had dinner, and went to some Cirque dkjsah something show, and it was kinda... weird. We stayed in a nice hotel that night, then the next day we went to Ikea. Or whatever... Some huge furniture store. It was full of ugly, hipster furniture. I had some gross swedish flower drink. It was bad... And I had a piece of this delicious almond cake. Then the rest of spring break was pretty much a blur. I barely remember what I even did. I guess I just kind of lazed around the house, did a little fishing, played Demon's Souls with a friend, and played a little Pokemon. The new game is fantastic, by the way. My spring break wasn't real exciting. Oh yeah, and my easter was pretty miserable. Colored easter eggs... That was cool. My dad drew Nancy Pelosi on one of them. Ummm, yeah. Then we went so some unknown family member's house. Of course, I didn't know anyone there. I sat in a chair for five hours and watched people talk. My mom and dad are both sick right now, so I hope I can get sick too so I won't have to come to school.

FINALLY, something I can delight in writing about. I've waited all year to have the opportunity to discuss something remotely political. The environment... Highly debated, varying opinions... What do you think? I don't care what you think. Time to express what my beliefs on the environment are.

In my personal opinion, I think that we should quit worrying about the environment. Leave it alone! Let nature do its thing! Save the birds, save the bees... Save the flowers, save the trees. NO, DON'T SAVE ANYTHING! Leave it alone! It is not our place to interfere with nature. We throw our trash everywhere, that's the truth. Is it going to change? No. Let nature adapt. If it doesn't, well... Sorry, tough shit. Survival of the fittest. This is how life works, and ALWAYS will. Even when we are loooong gone.

Are we going to leave a lasting impact on the Earth when we all contract the AIDS virus and go extinct? No. Nature will resume where it left off before we were here. The earth will cleanse itself... Shake us off, like a baaaad case of fleas. The Earth has been through billions of years of torture! Volcanoes, tectonic plates, the magnetic reversal of the poles, bombarding from space debris, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, and all the others. And we have the gall to think that a little plastic is going to hurt something? That we're going to ruin the environment forever? That we're causing the entire planet to heat up? NO! This is ludicrous!! YOU PEOPLE ARE CRAZY.

Ask the people of Haiti, after they were demolished by a major earthquake, if they feel like a threat to the planet today.

When is it appropriate to post pictures of yourself on blogs...? Are you serious?! What kind of topic is this? You want my opinion? I think this is a stupid topic. It's never necessary to use photos of yourself in a blog, unless you're trying to look for a date or something. I guess it would be okay if you were really fat and lost a lot of weight? And you wanted to show a before and after, I don't know. Why don't you put pictures of yourself on LiveJournal or MySpace instead? Blogger isn't really the place for pictures. That's really all I have to say about that... What else can I say?!

Now, I'm going to blog about something way more interesting. If you want me to write more, give me better topics! So, not so long ago, I was browsin' the interwebs, and I stumbled upon this music video art project thing called Bad Apple!! It only uses black and white, and shows a montage of characters from the popular game series called Touhou. I'm not into Touhou. I've never played it, but it's pretty much just an arcade game with all-female anime characters. I'm not particularly interested in the games, but that music video is absolutely stunning! It's the most impressive and artistic thing I've seen in a really long time.

Oh yeah, and as for better topics? How about you give us things like "What are your views on Global Warming?" or "What is your opinion on the increasing number of teen pregnancies?". Your topics are PBBBBTH!!! Come on adjudicators! Get with the program here!

Touhou - Bad Apple!!

Well, first I'd like to announce that I'll be posting videos every so often, just for fun. Also, my pants smell funny today. They're brand new, so they smell like dye and fabric, but it's really strong... -_-

Anyway, today I think I'm going to blog about vocaloids and why I like them. It's really the only thing that comes in my mind right now... Firstly, I think they have a really interesting sound. They sing great, but they just don't sound quite human. That makes them interesting to me! Most of them can only sing in japanese, which... is alright with me. Singing is singing, and sometimes it's better if I can't understand what they're saying. There are also english vocaloids, and I love them just as much. Only, their english sounds like their mouth is full of cotton. It really depends on the user, I suppose; sometimes their english is perfect. My favorite vocaloid would have to be Rin Kagamine. Her voice is strong, and light. It really doesn't matter if her user is good or not. She always sounds fabulous.

A common mistake... an UTAU and a vocaloid are very different. I absolutely adore UTAUloids, though! They are essentially fan-made vocaloids. There is a freeware program called UTAU, and anyone in the world can make their own singer! You use samples of your own voice. The most common UTAUloids would be Teto Kasane, and Ruko Yokune. There are countless UTAU out there, and for the most part, they don't sound nearly as smooth as the real vocaloids. They sound very robotic and choppy, but that's something I love most about them. Some of my favorite UTAUloids are Teto Kasane (of course), and Defoko.

My favorite part of the vocaloid/UTAU fandom are the beautiful music videos. Vocaloid is not mainstream, so a majority of the videos and songs are made by fans. Many of them are hand-drawn and just so darn impressive! So much work goes into them, and you can tell. They are very artistic and talented. Another thing I like about the vocaloids, is that in a music video, the characters can play roles like actors in a play.

Okay, so why would anyone want to read my blog? Well, I guess because it's a heck of a lot more interesting than anyone else's blogs. "Hmm... How can we help?"

I actually ended up learning a lot from Life of Pi. I love books about survival and things like that. I learned all about animal psychology, which was both interesting and potentially useful. I'd never really thought about it before, but the author is absolutely correct about being the alpha. You must get the animal's respect and show them that you're the one in charge before you expect them to do a trick or, in Pi's case, just stay the hell away from you. I also learned about surviving in the middle of open ocean, which is something I haven't ever read about before. I learned a lot about what to do and not to do in his situation at sea. I never even would have thought of training the tiger. All in all, I think this was a fairly educational story.

The Reporter That Asked Weird Questions

A reporter arrives in town, and started asking the inhabitants odd questions.

"Would you think the weather would kill an elephant in a corn field?", "How tall was the monster", "Would Brittany Spears bring sexy back?" The townspeople only looked at eachother curiously. They had no answers for this strange reporter.

And yet, the reporter kept on. "How many oranges can fit in the empire state building?" A little boy answered "As many as you would like".The reporter found that the town had a giant ant problem. One girl responded "This assignment makes no sense." A man asked the reporter "From where do you come from?" The reported pointed down the road and said "That way." Then the reporter suddenly asked "How much ant bait is used in the sewers?"

Suddenly, from one of the storm drains, a huge ant appeared and grabbed the reporter in his mandibles and crushed him to bits. Miraculously his voice was still heard. No one knew where it came from and how. A dog picked up his vocal chords and ate them, and his voice was never heard again. The end.

Today I have to write tips to teachers for teaching. Haha, that's a tongue-twister! Tips to teachers for teaching...

My first tip would be... I think it's always nice when a teacher gets to know the students as individuals. That way, you feel like you're friends with your teacher. This is true vice-versa, as well. I think the teacher should tell the students about his or herself. I also think it's important that the teacher has a sense of humor.

My second tip is concerning rewards. I think that students need to have positive feedback for doing well. Maybe a piece of candy or a homework pass, but really anything is good. Even just saying "Oh, good job on your test, Johnny!" or something like that.

My third tip is breaks. I think that there should be some free time during classes. Just a few minutes is nice enough. Also, for Christ sakes... Let the students use the bathroom! I once had a teacher who would take points off your grade for using the bathroom, coughSANTANIELLOcough.

The next tip is about being too strict. Nobody likes a stickler for rules. Don't get all harsh on students for sending a quick text, or chewing some gum. It's not a big deal, and students will only dislike you for doing so.

My last tip is concerning assignments. Don't give your students hours of homework a night, and don't just assign book "busy" work. That's boring, and students will quickly lose interest and start doing something else.
